GOTO Chicago
GOTO Conferences bring together software innovators and thought leaders to highlight the technologies, methodologies, and skills you need to build future systems.
I oversaw GOTO Conferences from 2013-2015 and from 2017-2021. The GOTO Chicago grew from 250 attendees to a 1200 person conference throughout the years. In addition, during the 2020 pandemic, we pivoted the in-person conference to a virtual experience that brought over 500 attendees together through zoom.
I led all efforts on GOTO Chicago tech events, reporting directly to the CEO, and working with a cross-functional team.
My responsibilities include:
- Brand Identity, website updates, signage, badges, and giveaways design and production
- Brochure Design according to brand and color style guidelines
- Program and Content Development
- Planning and execution of GOTO Nights, CTO Roundtables, and CTO Summit
- Site / Venue Research, Selection and Management
- Contract Negotiations
- Partnership Management
- A/V Management
- F&B
- Budget Management
- Support for the Marketing and Sales Team
For the 2020 virtual program: support on speakers selection, zoom preparation, attendees slack preparation, shipped swag + Grubhub gift cards to attendees, networking sessions, speakers management, partnership, ticket sales support, and numerous meetups before the virtual event.
